New York Cheesecake was one of the very first desserts I have ever made, several years ago. I was so in love with the taste of a delicious homemade New York Cheesecake that for some months I was keep making it. And of course, many of my friends kept asking for it, every single time they came to visit.
And I have to admit, I’m a big fan of cheese desserts. You can find on my channel many no-bake cheesecake recipes if you need to find inspiration.

It has also to be mentioned that cheesecake is actually a dessert that has its roots in ancient Greece. That’s why you can find so many variations of cheesecake in so many European countries, then in Asia or Africa. But we have to admit that the most famous one is the New York-style Cheesecake.

New York Cheesecake | Easy & Creamy

Ingredients:

Base:

digestive biscuits 300g.
melted butter 125g.
cinnamon 1 teaspoon (optional)

Cream:

3 eggs (medium size)
sugar 140g.
a pinch of salt
sour cream 200g.
cream cheese (like Philadelphia) 600g.
lemon juice 2 tablespoons
lemon zest 1/2 teaspoon (optional)
vanilla extract (optional)

fresh raspberries 300g.

Springform pan: 22cm diameter

Instructions:

1. Melt the butter and crumb the biscuits, then add the cinnamon. Mix them together until well combined.
2. Pour them into a springform pan and pack in tightly. Then put the pan into the fridge for at least 30 minutes or while you prepare the cream.
3. Whisk the eggs with a pinch of salt and sugar.
4. Add the sour cream and combine. Add then the cream cheese and combine.
5. Add the lemon juice and grate some lemon zest, then whisk until well combined.
6. Pour the cream into the springform pan.
7. Bake in the preheated oven at 140°C for about 1 hour and 45-50 minutes.
8. Let the cheesecake cool down completely then leave to rest in the fridge for at least 5 hours or overnight.
9. Decorate your New York Cheesecake with raspberries or any other berries your like or even chocolate ganache. You can also enjoy it a simple as delicious it is.
