For the past 90 years, New York’s Little Italy neighborhood has hosted the Feast of San Gennaro, an Italian street festival that celebrates the patron saint of Naples. While some modern traditions like the cannoli eating contest have only been around for 15 years, food has always been a central part of the festivities. Zagat editor Billy Lyons met Executive Chef Glenn Rolnick of Carmine’s and his cousin to find out what unique eats this long standing tradition offers before taking in the festivities – and plenty of cannolis!
