Herbs and spices are the base of where our food gets its flavor from, like salt and pepper! Learning how to properly season your food with herbs and spices will take your food to the next level!
Today, we are going to be using a dried herb called Basil with Chef Desi! The herb basil comes from the leaf of a basil plant, and the basil we are used today came from a leaf too, and then was dried out so it could be shelf-stable. Basil is typically associated with Italian cooking, like with our dish today, but can be grown all over the world, even right here in Macomb!
