Meeting Stanlake #1: Nico – Winemaker & Vineyard Manager
Nico is the soul of Stanlake’s new wines. He grew up in Puglia and worked alongside his father in his family’s vineyards since he was a kid. He has two degrees in Viticulture & Winemaking, and studied in Tuscany and Piedmont.
He might be (or look!) very young, but he has a long experience in winemaking in several countries like Italy, Argentina, Romania and, of course, England. His first job in the UK was during 2013 harvest in Nyetimber.
Nico is a big passionate of all the things related with wine and food: he loves to cook for friends and family – and customers, of course, during our extremely popular Italian dinners!
He also enjoys travelling, listening to old (!!) Italian music and watching films. And he also love spirits – particularly whisky and grappa!
