Savoury Scone is an amazing recipe that can be served as a side or taken as a snack on its own. They become more delicious when served with a hot beverage such as soup, stew, coffee, or tea. It is a lovely combo for a brunch or for afternoon tea. They can be served together with butter, cream cheese, sour cream, or clotted cream.
Scones can be part of the lunchbox for kids as they really enjoy them. They are handy and easy to manage for the kids. They are full of proteins and carbs and can be categorized as finger food.
The best part is that this recipe is easy to make especially when you are in self-isolation or having kids with sensory needs.
Important notes for the recipe:
The dough for the scones should be crumbly with some flour residues. Or else, the scones may become tough/hard.
Don’t stir too much as in result scones will turn hard. Once you’re done shaping scone’s dough, they can be freeze in a sealed/zip plastic bag until you’re ready to bake. These scones are extremely high in calories because of the butter and high ratio of cheese.
You can keep in the freezer for a whole month and then you have to bake don’t need to thaw first. You can put right away in the pre-heated oven.
Please consume within two days after baking.
I have used Shan Tandoori Masalah for the marination of the chicken before steaming and shredding. Link for this recipe is here:
