WHO LOVES ITALY!
I doooo almost as much as its food.
This episode one debuted at the Apulia Film Festival, the southern region forming the heel of Italy’s “boot” and appropriately honoring the principals of Italian culture. At the Web Series Awards in Park City, Utah, last summer 2019, Trippin For Food swept the award for Best Web Series in the unscripted category. What a way to enter the scene!

Back Story:
three months into my word travel adventure, I was desperate and stranded at the Athens airport. While looking for a flight out anywhere, after enduring a very emotional week of dealing with my heartbreak. ( i will tell you about that later). Miraculously, my cousin Ana reached out and told me she was in Rome with her husband, and I could join them! I was at my last resort, and the chance to be with family at that very moment was extraordinary and unexpected. Though Gianni Guiliani, her husband, is Italian, they live in Paris, so we don’t get to see each other often at all.
Ana, who appears brightly at 4:29. took me in, and well, It was the most loving and yummy experience I could’ve asked for.

Check out Gianni’s mum Natalina, as she reveals to me some little secrets of Italian cuisine.

3:55 Let’s Make this Recipe:

1 lb.spaghetti
extra-virgin olive oil
3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
4 Medium tomatoes
Salt to taste
Freshly ground black pepper
Thinly sliced basil, plus more for garnish
Freshly grated Parmesan

❥ In a large pot of boiling salted water, drip a bit of olive oil and cook pasta to the point you like. If you got fresh past cooking time is about 4min. If you have package pasta check it at 10min. If the heart is white is not done yet.

❥ In another large pan, over medium heat, heat oil. Add garlic and cook until fragrant before it gets brown.

❥ Bake tomatoes at 400 degrees for 15 minutes or until mushi soft, remove the skin and throw the tomato in the pot, squash them a bit so juices release. Season with good chunky salt, fresh ground pepper. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Stir in basil. Add a tiny bit of water if you like.

❥ Add spaghetti and toss to combine, garnish with basil and parmesan and voila!
