Nick and Caterina came from Marsala, Sicily to live the American dream. They moved to Chicago where they opened their first Italian restaurant in 1969. Wanting to enjoy California sunshine, the family relocated to Lompoc in 1981 because the climate reminded them of home. Nick and Caterina then opened La Botte with a commitment to serve the finest Italian fare until this day. Their dedication to customer’s needs is the purpose of their commitment. Nick makes the best meat sauce and house dressing in town. Customers rave about Mama Catherina’s minestrone and desserts. Nick, Caterina and family value thier customers’ friendship; thier restaurant is the customers’ home. Daughters Francesca and Marlena continue to carry on that tradition.
