Olive Oil

Salt and Pepper
(1) Large White Onion, Chopped
(5) Fresh Garlic Cloves, Chopped
1/4 C Dried Parsley
1/8 C Dried Oregano
1/8 C Dried Basil
1 Tsp Sugar
2 Tsp Onion Powder
2 Tsp Garlic Powder
1 1/2 C Grated Romano or Parmesan Cheese
(2) 28oz Cans, Crushed or stewed tomatoes
(1) 6 oz can, tomato paste
Water

Optional

1 lb Italian Sausage, cut up and browned OR
Meatballs

-Cover bottom of large pot with olive oil and turn stovetop to medium
-Add Chopped onions, salt and pepper, and a sprinkle of Parsley, and cook for 5-6 minutes until onions are translucent
-add garlic cloves, cook 2-3 minutes (Don’t let the garlic burn)
-Add both cans of crushed tomatoes and tomato paste
-Fill the 28oz can with water, and add to the pot, Stir

-Add all remaining ingredients, stir well, and bring to a boil.

-Boil for one minute, then lower heat, half cover the pot, and simmer for 4-5 hours, stirring occasionally.

Enjoy over macaroni, spaghetti, or anywhere you use sauce!

Freezes very well, and defrosts just as delicious!
