Salve a tutti! I’m super excited to share this with you. The concept of this channel is to show you recipes from the perspective of an italian home cook (me) and highlight some great italian food that isn’t well known globally.
Today let’s focus on the Carbonara recipe. This is the result of living in Rome for 6 years:
Ingredients x2
Pasta (mezze maniche or spaghetti) 250 gr / 8,9 oz
Egg Yolks 2 per head
Pecorino romano or *Parmesan cheese 100 gr / 3.5 oz
Guanciale or *Bacon 200 gr / 7 oz
Black Pepper
*Yes, i’m italian and i’m suggesting use of parmesan cheese and bacon. Why? Because not everyone can afford and even find pecorino romano and guanciale outside italy but you can still make a tasty carbonara with these ingredients
