We didn’t have the ingredients to make a proper Porchetta but we had a pound of pork belly in our freezer so we decided to use the same flavors and spices you would stuff your Porchetta roll with and create a deconstructed version: a flavor homage.
The Porchetta sandwich is beyond classic when it comes to Italian carnivals and food trucks and this sandwich was possibly the best we’ve ever made.
