Dosa (crispy savory pancakes) from South India is a staple food in its home region. In the rest of the country too, Dosas are hugely popular

Ingredients :

• Urad daal – 1 small bowl
• Rice – 3 bowls
• Salt

Procedure :

First soak rice and daal in separate containers. After 4-5 hours, grind them. Keep water quantity less while grinding. Now mix both of them. In winters, leave the mixture for 2 days before cooking and in summers, 1 day before cooking. After fermentation, add salt according to taste and little water in it and mix it well.

Serving :
You can serve it with coconut chutney or sambar.

Recipe for Coconut Chutney :

In a grinder, add 1 fresh coconut, 1 spoon soaked chana daal, 1 spoon groundnut, ginger, ginger-garlic paste, green chilli, salt, red chilli powder, 1 spoon curd. With a little quantity of water, grind them. For seasoning, in a pan, get some hot oil, add mustard seeds, red chilli, cury leaves and mix it in chutney.
