CLIMBING TOWARDS THE SWISS ALPS – BICYCLE TOURING HOLLAND TO ITALY
In the summer of 2019 I rode my bike from Maastricht in the Netherlands to Lago di Orta in Northern Italy.
This video covers day 7 of the trip.
I start the day near Biel and after about 2 hours of cycling I reach the capital of Switzerland Bern.
After some quick sightseeing in Bern (mainly from the bike) I continue South.
Whole day long the snow topped peaks of the Alps are in view, and they are getting bigger and impressive as the day progresses.
At the end of the day I reach the Kandertal, where the real climbing starts towards Kandersteg at 1174 meters.
