Hi guys! Welcome to episode two of Nostalgic Kitchen!
I made two different versions of the scallion pie for Mother’s day–one with and without
anchovies! If you don’t like it just skip the anchovy part.
You also can make it in a pie shape and/or Calzone shape.
I used only scallions and a tomato, but feel free to add olives, peppers and more!
This recipe is from my great grandma who was from Italy.
Here is the RECIPE :
[Filling]
4 bunch of scallions
1 -2 tomatoes
1/2C of white wine
4-5 cloves of garlic
1/4C of olive oil
salt and pepper
3-4 slices of anchovy
[Dough]
1 pound of all purpose flour
1 C of white wine
1/4C of olive oil
pinch of salt
