Limoncello is a delightful Italian lemon liqueur that is incredibly easy to make. This perfect summer drink is made by soaking lemon peels in high proof alcohol then, after allowing sufficient time for the lemon peels to macerate, adding simple syrup. Limoncello was developed in southern Italy along the Sorrentine Peninsula in the early 1900’s. Everyone seems to have their own recipe for making limoncello. This video demonstrates the POV Italian Cooking version of limoncello for which the feedback from those lucky enough to receive a bottle has been outstanding!
