Nearly 300 people have sought shelter and assistance from the Social and Family Development Ministry during the COVID-19 circuit breaker. Minister for Social and Family Development Desmond Lee gave this update in response to queries about support given to the homeless community. Seven new organisations have stepped up to offer temporary shelters, bringing the total number of organisations to 35. These places can accommodate about 700 people and about 400 spaces are currently available.
