A very rare and unique LIVE performance of “Year of the Cat” by Al Stewart, backed by an acoustic trio of musicians who had never met before, and had not rehearsed… Laurence Juber, Robert Alpert (on piano) and Paul Robinson. This exclusive and limited concert (50 person capacity) was held at Al’s friend, Dennis Overstreet’s “The Wine Merchant” in Beverly Hills, CA in 1997. The posting of this audio recording was inspired by Al Stewart’s friend Michela Vazzana from Italy ; who also maintained a special bond with Robert Alpert. I’m hoping to post the entire 14 song concert at a later date.
