Italy In Bocca is one of the world’s rarest, funkiest, weirdest cardboard bound cookbooks. They’re part spell-book, part recipe book, part history and art book, and completely wild. If you know them then you know what I’m talking about, and if you have never heard about them then you are in for a very cool treat.
In this episode the two friends pour over the series and choose 4 amazing recipes to cook for a “last supper” of sorts in NYC. They chose them based on how weird they were, how good they sounded, and how hungry they were to eat them. They settled on the following:
Piedmontese vittello tonnato – veal with tuna sauce from Piedmont.
Suppli al telefono alla Romana – Roman riceballs “telephone” style
Romagnese rigatoni in salsa di fegato – pasta with Chicken livers from Romagna
Cotoletta alla Milanese – pork cutlet Milan style
We hope you like the series In Bocca, we shot it the very day before the quarantine and edited it during the shut down. It was made out of love for food, for these books, and for the country that has inspired and given us so much, Italy. Hopefully they will recover soon from this horrible pandemic, and if you would like to help or find out more about the project and what we’re all about, then hop over to:
