“Pesto or to refer to the original dish pesto alla genovese (Italian pronunciation: [ˈpesto alla dʒenoˈveːse, -eːze]), is a sauce originating in Genoa, the capital city of Liguria, Italy. It traditionally consists of crushed garlic, coarse salt, basil leaves, hard cheese such as Parmigiano-Reggiano (also known as Parmesan cheese), all blended with olive oil.”

Here’s what you’ll need:
– 1 cup chopped parsley
– 1/2 cup grated cheese
– 2 cloves of garlic
– 1 tbsp of basil
– 1/2 tsp of Tabasco
– 1/3 cup olive oil
– 8 oz of spaghetti noodles
– 1/4 tsp salt
– blender

Steps:
– Into the blender, add parsley, basil, garlic, Parmesan cheese, salt and Tabasco.
– While ingredients blend, slowly add the olive oil to the blender with the rest. Make sure the consistency is like creamed butter.
– Boil spaghetti noodles for 20 mins until the noodles are soft. If you like al dente (harder), do you boo. I don’t.
