Ciao to everybody! My name is Cecilia and I am Sommelier, a Sommelier who loves the emotional aspect of wine, what wine tells me with ist flavours and hints. Today we are in Valpolicella DOC, an area where viticulture started many centuries ago. The meaning of Valpolicella is “the valley of many cellars” and the typical grapes they use are: Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara. There are different versions of Valpolicella: the Ripasso consists in a second fermentation o regular Valpolicella on the pomace of Amarone DOCG. Another fermentation will slowly start and the will be richer, and more complex.
I also propose you a 100% Corvina, produced by the same winemaker. This wine is deeper but less floreal than the first wine.
